National Deaf & Hard of Hearing Development Camp

Tennis Australia are running a National Deaf & Hard of Hearing Development Camp on 8-9th December in Melbourne.

This will be an opportunity for players from across the country to learn new skills, access great coaching, and meet new friends.

The camp will include both on-court and off-court activities.

Where: National Tennis Centre (Level 2), Entrance D, Olympic Boulevard, Richmond VIC 3001
When: Saturday 8 December, Sunday 9 December 2018
Age: 18 and under

Minimum eligibility to participate: Players must be at a green ball standard to participate.

Travel Grant: Interstate players will be provided a $250 travel grant. Please email Holly Tawse HTawse@tennis.com.au directly.

Camp Hotel: Quest East Melbourne, 48 Wellington Parade, East Melbourne VIC 3002
*Group block has been set aside for interstate players needing accommodation. Reference Tennis Australia.

National Deaf Tennis Squad Try Outs - June 3rd

Tennis Australia is hosting state-based Come & Try days for players who are interested in trying out for state and national squads. Try outs are in Melbourne and Sydney, but tennis players from all around Australia are invited to send in their video applications - send through some short video clips of you rallying and serving, and a bit of info about your playing level (e.g. your involvement with club/school/tournament tennis) to coach Daniel Norris - dnorris@tennis.com.au

VIC - Monthly Social Deaf Tennis Program

Hi Vics,

Join us for monthly deaf tennis in Melbourne, on Sundays. All ages, all standards invited. Please RSVP to vic@deaftennisaustralia.org by the Thursday evening prior, so we can finalise our court booking. It will be a mix of fun and social tennis, structured hitting, and possibly some coaching. Friends and family are all most welcome to join in.

Note that this event is run in conjunction with the ACE Tennis Club program run by Deaf Children Australia.

Bring your racquet, suitable shoes, and a winning smile!
